Premiership - Aston Villa vs Derby Football betting preview

Aston Villa lie in 10th place in the premier league thanks to their home form really. 4 wins all coming at Villa Park against Fulham (2-1), Chelsea (2-0), Everton (2-0) and West Ham (1-0). All much tougher propositions than todays opponents Derby County who are looking like one of the worst teams to grace the Premier League.

7 losses this season for the Rams, 6 on the road, 6 losses to nil. Scored only 5 goals in 11 league games. 2 for Kenny Miller who is doubtful for todays game. They simply dont have the quality to create and score goals. Failing to score in 7 matches says it all. Billy Davies admitted it himself after the Everton game last sunday. They have also conceeded in 9 of their 11 matches. Keeping clean sheets at home to Newcastle and away at Fulham. That doesnt bother me cause Fulham are fairly poor themselves.

Villa have Reo-Coker and Scott Carson back today. Carew still out but he's only been responsible for 1 of Villa's 14 goals this season. Carson is a good Goalkeeper and helps our cause for a clean sheet. Villa to win at 1.44 seems nailed on but I'll take the extra risk for a bigger price.

These two have met 6 times in Premiership history and Villa have won all 6, cant see it not being 7 from 7 after today.
