Ok.Very nice odds here today as Devils try to look for premier win in their new Prudential Arena against Ligtnings.

Devils played their frist 9 games on the road, as their new arena was still under some finishing works.And then the long awaited opening ended poorly as Senators overcame NJ 4:1.The performance from the home team wasnt good at all,you could feel that players have heavy legs and are not totally focused on the game.It is phenomena that usually occurs at the opening of new stadiums.However, second game from them should be more about playing hockey then playing openeing day for the fans.Devils have had some trouble winning against Tampa lately, having record of 2-3 on the home ice,loosing last two.For now, NJ hasnt played their best hockey and is just 3-6-1 this season.The main problem is delivery - paradoxly their best points man is Parise with 10 and not someone like Gionta or Elias.These guys have to start playing better.

Tampa is doing ok, but struggling on away games, loosing all 4 so far this season.The last one came against NY Rangers, 1-3.

Otherwise they have solid 5-4-1, with all main forwards playing good - Lecavalier, Porspal,St.Louis.But as I said, their away performance is poor and I just dont see them picking it up against Devils.

NJ Devils, have quality squad and all they have to do is play a good winning game and get on some kind of a streak.Given that Devils know how to beat Tampa (as they also relegated them from the play-off last season), Lightnings struggle on the road and the big motivation factor on the home side - Devils must take it.

The odds are very good, IMO, 3:2 New Jersey win is realistic.
