I waited for this match since season started - rivalry between best Latvia and Lithuania clubs. As I said in previous posts ASK Riga is red hot this season, still without lose in all competitions with average wining margin over 20 points. I think main key for success is best coach in Baltic countries - Butautas and very balanced team in all positions - there is really hard to find weak point for this team. Only minus is two sidelined players - Millage(reg. important) is out for two months and Vilums(long term). Of course Millage is huge missing, but on the other hand Buskevics can substitute him very well. Also there is a lot of other options in team, so I'm Butautas will find best possible line-up. On the other hand Rytas against Ventspils didn't impressive at all. One minute till end score was only +2 for Rytas and only succesful last seconds let them win comfortably. I rate ASK higher then Ventspils for sure. Also new Rytas Americans Eidson and Mitchell didn't impress me. So I can't find this team such a favorite against solid ASK. There will be around 6000 attendance, that will support ASK. Also there was some success in previous meetings, that makes Rytas as good match-up for Riga. So +6.5 handy for ASK is way too big.

If Buskevics didn't succeed in Rytas, It doesn't mean that He is poor player. I saw almost all ASK matches and He is doing really well in Riga team. Maybe Lithuanian club wasn't right place for him ;) | |
