Liverpool drew their last two Premier League matches against Portsmouth and Birmingham, both scoreless draws, but they completely outplayed Reading in the midweek fixture in Carling Cup. Now they have good chance to get back on winning tracks in the Premier League too, playing against relegation contender and not so strong team of Wigan.

Wigan despite the two victories in a row against Middlesbrough and Sunderland, both teams from lower part of the table earlier in the season, got back where they belong and is not having a win for four matches in a row.

Liverpool wants win here because if they fail, that will be third match in a row without a win and that will not affect well for the team confidence in front on their Champions League match against Marseille. Benitez has full squad to chose from and Wigan has Kilbane, Taylor and Valencia doubtful.

I think that Liverpool’s technique based approach will give Wigan huge troubles and I think that Wigan is not capable of scoring against Liverpool. I think that Liverpool will win without conceding a goal, like they did in all four previous meetings.
