Czech handball extraleague, Koprivnice vs. Presov. Presov is a team focused on offense. They are a sovereign leader of the Slovak league and therefore decided to play Czech extraleague as well as they expect the Czech teams can give them harder test. In the first round they met Czech champion Karvina. The played without any enthusiasm and lost 33:26. The match was decided in the first half and I have to add I find the score rather high, as Karvina bases the game mainly on a solid defence. Then they defeated Kosice in the Slovak league 46:30. Before the second extraleague match Presov had to split the team into two part as they played two matches on the same day. Anyway, they defeated a strong Czech team Lovosice 43:39 as well as their compatriots from Topolcany 38:19. Yesterday they won in Hlohovec 34:29 and today they are going to play Koprivnice in the third round of the extralegue. Their programme is rather busy, as on Tuesday the have to play Nove Zamky and on Wednesday they travel to Bystrice pod Hostynem. As you can see, all the matches are rather high-scoring affairs.

Their best goal-scorer is Radoslav Kozlov with 17 goals in 2 extralegue matches. E.g. in the Slovak league he scored 11 goals against Kosice. But he is not alone in the offense as in the team there are some other good scorers as well.

Koprivnice played just one match this season. They lost to Karvina 29:18. But as I said, Karvina is known for its solid defence. I found only two preparation matches of Koprivnice before the season - from Tatra cup. Koprivnice lost to Zubri 27:36 and to Povazska Bystrice 29:31. Also these results suggest the team prefers an offensive style of game.

Adding the fact Presov usually plays more freely in the second halves and possible tiredness from the hard programme I think the score can easily go over 56,5 goals.
