West Ham after the defeat in the first round from Manchester City, improved their game and managed to collect 10 points from their last four matches although they played against teams from lower part of the table in those matches. Now they have bigger challenge, playing against Newcastle, team traditionally strong at home leaded by a manager who had pretty good results when he leaded the teams at home.

Newcastle is playing well this season, especially at home where they are creating chances and the support from the crowd is great boost for the players. They lost from Derby in their previous match, but before that match Allardyce had 14 players away on international duty. I believe that they are more than capable of bouncing back after that defeat.

Newcastle will be without Owen, Emre, Barton and Enrique, but still they have more than decent team.

West Ham are without longterm Dyer. They are bringing many former Newcastle players Bellamy, Parker, Solano and Bowyer who will have huge motivation playing against their former team.

I expect tough battle, but although West Ham is not naïve opponent, I think that Newcastle will take the control of this match. The tradition is on the home side, West Ham is without a win in Newcastle for 9 years.
