Good price offered for the American thanks to the Robredo's ranking, but lately he isn't acting like world's number 8. These players met in Las Vegas last year on hard and Robredo won in straight sets, but lately Robredo in not in form, recently he was beaten by Hrbaty, Nieminen and Wawrinka, he won only Gicquel. In the first round he won lucky looser Bobby Reynolds in 3, but Reynolds in very unexperienced on ATP level so Robredo didn't face real challenge. Fish also didn't have a tough opponent to face with in the first round, he won Bruno Echagaray in straight sets, but lately he looks more convincing than his opponent today. Fish played 5 tournaments before the US Open, at first he looked bad, he was beaten by Stepanek twice and against Berrer, in Indianapolis he retired against Kunitsyn. But week in New Haven he reached the final, where Blake took the title, but he showed good form and I think he is well prepared for the grand slam. So, Robredo isn't in form lately and Fish has chance to do something in front of the home crowd, because he has never reached the second round of US Open and I think he will be very motivated to do that. I go with medium stakes, because Robredo is great player who knows how to play on hard courts and he has proven it many times!
