The start of the season hasn't been the best for Cruz Azul with two defeats and just one victory (this one thanks to an own goal). And last match was a nightmare. fist a goal from middfield of San Luis of MF Tressor Moreno, who take GK Oscar Perez un aware, and then a fair goal from San Luis, FW Cesar Delgado was able to shorten the distance, but a penalty that Cruz Azul concede decided the final 3-1 in favor of San Luis.

Despite that unfavorable match, the truth is that Cruz Azul has been showing interesting things, with a fair defense, which has just allowed two goals in the first two matches of the season, which is an average of one goal allowed per match. So in persepective Cruz Azul is showing fair defensive skills just need to cover their mistakes.

In the offensive is where the club has lacked of power, despite having important players on the squad, as FW Cesar Delgado, or FW Richard Nuñez. The team offensive have been the principal weapon of the team with an average above two goals per match. Together with a defense that has concede at least a goal in every match they have dispute. This has lead for their three matches to go over 2.5 goals and doesn't seem to be stopping as long as FW Hugo Rodallega and FW Hector GImenez continue making goals, something expected with this kind of playing scheme.

The middlefield will be key for this match, where Cruz Azul seems solid, their best line right now but their most urgent need is a striker to make the goals and not put them on the post. But Necaxa middlefield have showed important things, with MF Galindo, MF Barboa, and MF "Parejita" Lopez, it is expected a tight match. But here Necaxa offensive players have showed contundency something Cruz Azul players are lacking og.

Interesting match where Cruz Azul willl look to deliver a more convincing performance and start scoring more goals, now Cruz Azul has a strong defense, something that could present as a problem for Necaxa, but since against San Luis the team was able to produce then this comes to doubts. A very fair match with two teams that seems in the same level, Cruz Azul defense has been good. I sense this match will go for over 2.5 because Necaxa has been able to score in every match and I don't think this will differ here, but Cruz Azul holds best defence than Necaxa and finally this could be the match they start scoring more than one goal.
