Silverstone Circuit is a well known track by all the drivers because here take place a lot of the tests and many teams have their headquarters here in England. Past years results also show us that drivers know well this track. In past 5 seasons there were never more that 4 retirements except the 2002 when there were 10. But in that year there were some accidents on the track and also there were just 20 cars at the starting line. Today the weather forecast says that there will be clouds and sunny intervals maybe light showers but that is very probable not to happen.
So in my opinion there will be very few retirements at this GP. Only accidents can make them happen. Or maybe some technical problems but just for weaker teams like STR-Ferrari, Super Aguri-Honda or Spyker-Ferrari. But this is also not a certitude. Anyway I expect many finishers at the end of the race.
Past 5 years retirements: 2006 – 3 drivers; 2005 – 1 driver; 2004 – 4 drivers; 2003 – 3 drivers; 2002 – 10 drivers.
