Canadian Grand Prix - Qualifying

At the risk of stepping on Liasato21s toes im going to have a dabble on his favourite head 2 head myself this week.

Unlike Liasato i do not think there is a lot to choose between these 2. However i do agree that Jenson Button is the faster of the two, especially over 1 lap.

The Honda is the most improved car this season. Lets face it, it would have struggled not to be since it was such a dog of a car "out of the box". It is very noticable how the Honda has crept up the starting grid for each race and i expect the pair of them to once again make the final qualifying.

In Monaco Rubens was quicker than Jenson in all 3 segments. However we are talking about 0.05 seconds, 0.003 seconds and finally when on different fuel strategies 0.5 seconds.

Go back one grand prix and the gap between them in segment 1? Rubens was 0.001 seconds faster and faster again in segment 2 by 0.023 seconds.

Ok so i accept Rubens has "won" the last 5 qualifying sessions but the gap between them is miniscule. I liken this bet to a coin flip. Anytime i can get odds greater than 2.0 on a coin flip im taking them every time.

I dont see how anyone could make the odds between these 2, Barrichello 1.65, Button 2.1. Personally Barrichello 1.8, Button 1.9 would seem about right given Rubens recent upsurge and the fact he was a little quicker again in practice today.

Not a bet to go wild on but certainly over priced and worth a small bet.
