A head to head between 2 of the big pre tour favourites Di Luca and Cunego.
Damiano Cunego has never struck me as a good time trialist but showed himself what the motivation of a jersey can do for you when he rode the TT of his life to take the white jersey in the tour de france.
Danilo Di Luca has shown himself to be the class of this years field. He is leading the Giro and is fully revved up to take the maglia rose (leaders jersey) all the way to Milan. he has worked hard for his advantage and looks likely to put in a Cunego'esq time trial performance on Saturday.
On all known form i guess Cunego is entitled to start favourite but that pink jersey doesn funny things to people. Expect to see Di Luca put in an astonishing time trial and hopefully for those of you who have backed him in the outright put the seal on his maiden Giro D'Italia victory.
