Charlton have struggled in front of goal all season with Darren bent scoring 13 of their 32 league goals. He will surely not have suffer the drop to the Championship as his 16 goals in all competitions will no doubt have a few clubs looking to offer him premiership football in August. Jimmy Flloyd Hasselbaink is closest to Bent in the scoring stakes at Charlton this season with 4 !!!!!
If you dont score in this league, your in trouble. Unless your defence is very very good, and Charlton's is poor. At home they have fared Ok. Away from the Valley though they boast the worst record in the league......
Played 18: Won 1, Drawn 4, Lost 13......Goals: For 13, Against 38
So, with the worst away record in the league and with no motivation as your already relegated, where is the last place you wanna go to for your last away game of the season.......quite possibly Anfield.
Where Liverpool have the 2nd best Home record in the league after Man United.
Played 18: Won 14, Drawn 3, Lost 1......Goals: For 35, Against 7
And have 13 clean sheets at Anfield, with 11 in their last 13.
They've scored in 15 of their 18 home games, only denied by Man United, Everton and Portsmouth. I really cant see Charlton keeping them out on Sunday! Especially as Goalkeeper Scott Caron cant play due to being on loan from Liverpool. And He's been one of the main reasons I'd say Charlton weren't relgated sooner.
Earlier in the season Liverpool won 3-0 at The Valley and I wouldnt be surprisedto see a repeat of that scoreline on Sunday. Liverpool should put out a decent enough side and will want to finish the league campaign at Anfield on a high.
I dont think it's gonna be a matter of who's gonna win this game but more how many liverpool will win by......
