With this result the team lost their chance to qualified directly to mexican league playoffs, and altought having mathematical chances to get to the reclasfication for mexican playoffs. In practice the team is already eliminated from the tournament as just a miracle will get them to obtain reclasification spot.

The team tournament have been a disaster, encounter a streak of 8 matches without winning. During that the media claimed that the coach was fired, but the executives gave their support to the coach due to his peformance with the team in the last two and a half years.

The patience of the executives help relax the environment inside the team and provide the needed time to find again the right function. This seems to be found with the modification on the playing scheme of taking the center forward and putting one more midfielder and force them to aproach more the rival area. Last match the team receive Cruz Azul, rispid match that Jaguares had control for most of the match, score first due to a goal of FW Alejandro Vela to take the lead. Jaguares Chiapas had make a good season according to the team they have in hand and the change of coach they experiment on round 5. Prediction:

Monterrey is improving and I expect them to make their home ground advantage valid and perform better as they have been making and more because this could be the last match in home.
