This is the second game tonight that I preview where two teams are in the same situation. Again Istres is almost certainly relegated, and they welcome tonight Strasbourg, a team that fights to take the last promotional position in order to advance to the French Ligue 1.

Strasbourg is in an amazing form, staying unbeaten in their last 11 games having 6 wins and 5 draws. What is a little bit concerning is that Strasbourg away from home has had only 3 wins all year. While being very strong at home, they tend to draw away from home quite frequently. In order to be able to advance they must win games like tonight or their task will not be very easy, as Le Havre and Amien will close in and probably steal the last available position for promotion.

On the other side of the table, Istres last week, should have won against Grenoble, a team that plays without any motives in this league, as it is in the middle of the table safe from relegation, but way too far from advancing. Instead Istres played with a losing mentality and righteously lost 3-0. Had they have any point gain they would have extended their hopes for staying in the division, but one should think that they have accepted the fact that they should be relegated.

Strasbourg last week, managed to win with a penalty on the extra time, but what impressed me with that team is that they pushed and attacked until the last minute of the game until the desired result was achieved even at the last minute. This shows their high motivation and this is what I am betting, their motivation and their zeal for promotion.

Odds have been dropping significantly since this morning on this game. Some bookies have had the away win at 2.40 but now some even dropped it down to 2.10. Very good value in my opinion this bet, high states.
