Serie B: Gubbio v Torino
Gubbio, as already said couple of times, doesn’t have enough quality to play in second tier of Italian football just as few other teams, so it might happen that they even survive in relegation battle, but this still doesn’t prove their higher quality. They have started this season with only one win out of ten matches, having also four draws and five lost games and with 21 goals received which makes them second worst defense in the league. Most of their defeats came at the very beginning of the league as they matured a little and have 1-4-1 record in last six matches. Of course, six last rounds they didn’t play against better teams in the league, but still prove that they are little bit more experienced after awful August and September. However, in last round they failed to impress visiting Crotone and losing 2-1 there as they showed that they are still the same team and even with even five matches with no loss (back then), it would be very hard to look at the as something more then relegation team.
Torino, on the other side, after ten rounds played, eight wins and two draws simply can’t have any other goal but to finally promote to Serie A, where they generally belong. Occupying first position and having three points more then second placed and also one game less, its hard not to look at them as red hot favorites for promotion, especially as they look unbeatable at the moment. Away from home they have magnificent five wins out of five matches with a goal difference 10:4, obviously after a few season when they didn’t promote, they finally got together and now, after a good start they are playing even more relaxed away from home. No fresh injury worries for both teams.
There is maybe a small chance that Torino underestimates Gubbio and get into trouble here, but more likely is that Torino continues their great form and gets another win which would secure them first position with six points ahead of second placed team. Gubbio can get point or even points from time to time here and there, but this match surely shouldn’t be the case, Torino players are individually one class better.
