Segunda: Celta vs Alcoyano

Celta is entering last four rounds being in a really good form, but a the same time at second position in the league with the same number of points as third placed Valladolid. The difference between these two places is huge, as the second place will promote directly to Primera, while the third placed team will have to play additional plays for teams placed from third to sixth position. While the Segunda title is almost theoretically impossible, second place is something that will be their goal till the very last round. In order to achieve it, they must continue playing good and try to win the next four matches starting from this one. This game should represent the easiest opponent till the end of the season as they will facing up against second from the bottom, which is also one of the poorest traveler in the league. Celta had a really good April and May till now, having five matches without a loss in a row, four of the matches were wins and only one draw. Alcorcon and Guadalajara were beaten by 3:0 each in most recent matches. Celta has advantage over Valladolid in their race, due to better result in mutual matches and this is something they shouldn’t miss. Jonathan Villa is the only injured for hosts.

Alcoyano, on the other side, is second from the bottom as said. With four matches remaining, their destiny doesn’t look that bright and it will need a lot of fortune to avoid the relegation this season. They are six points below Guadalaraja which is the first safe team at the moment, but more important is that – that there are also two more teams above them, especially Girona that has five points more than Alcoyano, so the actual race looks like pretty much finished for them. There is also no good form to rely on, as they lost previous two matches and have just one win in previous seven games. They have lost on the road against Girona 5:1, before losing at home 1:3 to Murcia, just few days later. At the same time, this team has one of the worst defensive line-ups with almost 70 goals received till now. Additionally, guests will have problems in defensive lineup in this game as their standard goalkeeper Maestro and two standard stoppers, Fernando Martin and Morcillo are out.
