Primera: Malaga vs Zaragoza
Despite a lot of investments in summer, Malaga is currently only on ninth position, but still with very big chances to get European competition position as they are separated from fourth place (which leads to Champions League qualifying rounds) with only two points. Their home performances were very good till now as they have earned 23 out of 31 point at home, including seven victories. On the other side, if they are to be considered as one of the Champions League chasers, they must improve their record on the road. Their form haven’t been really good during winter as they had seven matches without a win during December and January, but they successfully bounced back with two recent home wins, against Sevilla 2:1 and Mallorca 3:1 at home. Except long term injured Julio Baptista, all other players are available for this game.
Zaragoza, on the other side, is in a very big problems this season. They are on the rock bottom of the league, with eleven points less than Villareal that is on safe 17th position. Guests might have some little hopes that they will survive, but the reality is different not only because they are eleven points below safe zone, but also because their form of late as well as their poor record on the road, which is the poorest in Primera. Their attack is not working very well, but even bigger problem is their defense that received 40 goals already, being second worst defense in the league after Sporting Gijon. Guests have only one victory in last seventeen matches, it was on the road against Espanyol 2:0. Except this victory nothing good happen to Zaragoza lately and it is hard to see them getting away with a point against very good home side such as Malaga is. Just as their guests, Zaragoza is also not having major injury worries in front of this game.
