Ligue 2: Le Mans vs Monaco
Le Mans is coming of a narrow 1:0 win over Metz last weekend, win that pushed them to the safe zone, just one point below their opponents tonight. Hosts aren’t in a good form and neither played well previous weekend against Metz, but the most important thing is that they have won and that win represents now good wind into their backs for upcoming matches. Before this win they had four matches run with no single victory, what’s more they didn’t score in previous three matches. They have lost twice in a row, against Boulougne and Reims, while they took a goalless draw at home against Nantes. Their whole season had many ups and downs and the fact is that they couldn’t be more thankful that they are still more than competitive in relegation battle. No fresh injury worries for hosts.
Monaco, on the other hand, probably have even worse periods during the season than Le Mans, but they finally managed to get together in previous two months and have started acting like a real team. As said many times, they improved their squad a lot during winter transfer period and it needed time for them to start playing better and get to know each other. Currently they are in a really good form having not lost in previous six matches (4 wins, 2 draws) and have fully escaped from the relegation positions, still they will need to continue playing in good style in order to avoid relegation battle in last rounds of the season. Guests are still without right back Adriano.
Guests are having great record against Le Mans having lost only once in last ten years. In-form Monaco maybe won’t win this one too, but they surely should not lose one of the most important games till now for them.
