Greece got outplayed once again in the first halftime, but this time they had not enough luck to bounce back completely like they did against the Polish. Anyway, the Greeks will have to attack here, but having in mind what tactics their coach prefer and the way they tried to play in recent years under the current coach – they will not be attacking from the beginning of the game, but trying firstly to defend their goal and then try to see what’s possible to be done in second halftime.

Russia, on the other hand, got just a draw in derby game of second round of this group as they were held to a 1:1 against the hosts from Poland. Although it could be said that the Russians were a bit better during that game, they still weren’t a lot better and were also satisfied with a draw in this one, especially because they have already won their first match against Czech Republic. However, they are still not completely sure and won’t be able to relax at this game either. They mustn’t lose in order to progress, which means that they won’t be playing for a draw, but for a win. Most important, because they don’t want to meet the Germans in quarter-finals (Germany looks almost like a sure candidate for the first position in Group B). All of this means that the Russians will most likely come out with a desire to win, but for sure will not be playing all out attack or any other deadly tactics, but will have a bit more cautious approach, at least at the beginning of the game.

Everything points out to a pretty boring game here, Greeks will have to attack but they generally didn’t know how to do it in recent years, at least not in an effective way. The Russians on the other side, will be played to get a victory here, but that won’t be at any price. Under 2.5 goals at good odds looks like a reasonable bet here.
