Deportivo vs Betis
After ten consecutive official matches in domestic competitions without a victory, Deportivo finally responded with a three pointer last weekend away from home against Gijon with a narrow 1:0 victory. The game itself was quite a balanced one with both teams having equal ball possession, but the visiting side had better and more concrete chances during the ninety minutes.
Guests even missed the penalty kick in 32nd minute via Colak, but still took the lead towards the end of the first halftime via Mosquera. Hosts didn’t find a way to respond further on in quite a peaceful game towards the end. Deportivo is now just above the relegation zone, having four points more than red zone placed Granada, but the team can’t afford to play in a relaxed way in next weeks.
Home team will be playing in 4-2-3-1 formation with Andone as central striker, plus Luisinho, Colak and Fajr as offensive midfielders. Central midfielder Guilherme dos Santos (21/0) is injured, while doubtful remains offensive midfielder Gael Kakuta (5/0).
Betis surprised in a negative way last time out previous weekend as the team suffered 2:3 defeat in front of own fans against Real Sociedad. The game itself was quite an equal one, but the players of Sociedad were more effective with their chances. First halftime was very interesting, with the guests taking the lead in ninth minute via Jon, but Mandi leveled up the result in 16th minute.
Visitors regained the lead in 26th minute via Prieto, but Sanabria once again leveled up the scoreline, this time in 65th minute. However, Prieto brought another lead to Sociedad in 72nd minute and the result never changed again. It was third defeat in four rounds of LaLiga for Betis, since the team now stands at fourteenth position with eight points more than Granada which is in red zone.
Visitors from Betis are set to play in their typical 3-5-2 formation with Castro and Sanabria as forwards. They will miss midfielder Jonas Martin (14/1), with defensive Jose Carlos (5/0) remaining doubtful.
- Deportivo have seen over 2.5 goals in their last 3 home matches against Real Betis.
The game itself is a very important for both teams since it’s kind of a battle between two sides that are looking to avoid relegation troubles later in the season. They both have way better offensive lines than their defensive players are reliable, so my first betting option for this one will be both teams to score.
