Championship: Barnsley v Blackpool

Barnsley is coming into this match with a two consecutive losses that ended their good run of four wins in a row and they are now on 13th position with being five points below playoff zone. Wins against Doncaster, Leeds, Peterborough and Crystal Palace made their four weeks being perfect, but then they lost quite surprisingly against Ipswich Town 3:5 at home and one week latter, also lost to way better West Ham 0:1 on the road. However, if they continue to play like they did in those four games, they can even be considered as one of the playoff hottest candidates. Home team will be without Drinkwater and Ranger (didn’t actually contributed a lot this season) who are both injured in front of this clash.

Blackpool, on the other side, has two points more then their todays opponents, but are not looking very well on the pitch in recent games. They have only one win in last six games and it was a narrow 1:0 win at home against Reading. In addition to that, their last match which was played last weekend, ended with a goalless draw at home against Watford, team that should be defeated in front of home fans. Guests have no important injury worries in front of this match as Baptiste (central defender) and Grandin (attacking midfielder) are back in training and are looking to return in starting XI.

Barnsley have very good record playing against Blackpool in this decade as they have won 10 out of 16 mutual games, having record at home of 6-1-2. Hosts are closer to victory as they have showed much more in previous games and visitors have been poor, without creative ideas in last games.
