Championnat: Nancy vs PSG
Nancy is currently at 12th position with five points more than relegating placed Nice. Although everyone predicted tough relegating battle for them, they managed to get away from the red zone with four great matches they played this month. Firstly, they have won at home against Lyon 2:0, then they drew on the road against Nice and then bounced back with two wins, over Montpellier 1:0 at home and finally, last weekend on the road against Breste 1:0. Great results for Nancy came very suddenly for them and quite unexpected too as they won over Lyon and Montpellier, better teams in Championnat. Although they are in a very good form and mood, they must be aware that the difference is still only five points and that there is still plenty to play for – so their position for next season is still far away from safe.
PSG, on the other hand, continues their title race with Montpellier. Currently, they are even with Montpellier having just a bit better goal difference. Parians didn’t impress in previous weeks having two draws, against Caen on the road and at home against Bordeaux. With these two draws they revived Montpellier’s chances for the title once again. Additionally, they lost to Lyon in French Cup game with a 2:4 result and were eliminated. With three matches in a row without a single win, the Parisians are fired up to bounce back with a win and re-establish themselves on the first position.
As neither of teams faced fresh injuries in front of this game, we should be expected very interesting match here. The hosts are in a good run and will surely try to make damage to PSG defensive lineup which wasn’t at their best in recent weeks. The Parisians are favorites of course, but Nancy is more than capable of scoring goals these days and the over 2.5 goals bet might be a bit better option than away win, at much better odds too.
