Bundesliga: Hannover vs Stuttgart
After a brilliant second half and victory over Club Brugge 2:1, Hannover is getting back to Bundesliga duties in a match where they might be easily getting all three points. As said, Hannover did very well in second half and scored two goals, although they were losing at the half-time by 0:1. The result could be much better for the Germans as they missed plenty of chances, but no question that they are satisfied with this win too. Generally, Hannover is in a very good form having not lost in last eight games in Bundesliga, nine including Europa League matches. Their start of the second part of the season have been particularly good as they have won matches over Nurnberg and Hertha, but by 1:0. In addition to that, they have snatched up a point on the road against Mainz and Hoffenheim. Hosts are currently on 7th position and if they continue like that, they will repeat very successful last season when they have reached Europa League position. Offensive player Didier Ya Konan is back from the African Nations Cup and it was in the best possible time as Mohammed Abdellaoue picked up a knock on Thursday;s game against the Belgiums, while Emanuel Pogatetz is suspended.
Stuttgart, on the other hand, is still paying the price of being in a really poor form at the start of the season. They are on only 9th position with eight points less then 6th placed Leverkusen that is getting Europa League ticket and it is very hard to see Stuttgart reaching that position till the end of the season. They are coming of a 5:0 home victory against Hertha, but we should keep in mind that Hertha is probably the most out of form team in Bundesliga right now and that this catastrophe is not a surprise for them. The biggest problem for Stuttgart remains their games on the road as they have earned only nine points out of ten games and it is really hard to see them winning today too. Except big win over team from Berlin, they have no result to be proud of this winter as they have lost three out of five games (against Bayern, Monchengladbach and Schalke), finally snatching a draw on the road against Leverkusen. The Swabians will be without Christian Gentner after he picked up a knock in training, just as Christian Molinaro and Matthieu Delpierre who are still suspended.
