2. Bundesliga: Bochum vs Ingolstadt

Bochum currently sits on tenth position, with pretty much nothing to play till the end of the season. They are more than twenty points below promotional candidates, but also very well of (ten points) the relegation zone. Their recent results are saying that, that they are playing without major motives and are probably more focused on building up their form, than getting the right result at any price. Bochum have lost three out of last four matches, including 0:2 loss against Dresden. It is clear that Bochum lacks motive in recent matches and that their offensive part of the team is doing working very well having failed to score in two out of last three games. Striker Mirkan Aydin is missing for this clash.

Ingolstadt, on the other hand, is in a really good form since the restart of the league, at least really good form for a team that is fighting not to relegate, but they are still not completely safe and have a lot of work to do in order to be completely safe. Guests are currently at 13th position with four points more then Aachen, team that is at play-out position. Since the restart of the league in January, they didn’t lose a single game having a record 2-5-0 which is more than good for a team in the second part of the table. The fact that they didn’t lose a single game in last nine games, including last two matches in December, is surely a huge morale boost in front of this visit. Moritz Hartman, striker, is unavailable for guests.

First game was won 5:3 by Bochum back in October, but it is clear that Ingolstadt is another team since then – especially improved in defense as they also didn’t receive a single goal in last two matches. Motive is also guests side and they should be the one going away more satisfied from this match.
