Malaga vs Zenit

Malaga lost some of their key players from the last season, due to financial problems, as spanish world and european champion - Cazorla left to Arsenal, key strikers Rondon and Nistelroy left aswel, as Rondon signed with Rubin, while Ruud van Nistelroy ends his cereer. Also experienced defensive midfielder Maresca signed with Sampdoria, while another experienced defender Joris Mathijsen signed with Feyenoord.

 

Malaga was capable to eliminate Panathinaikos, after 2:0 at home and goaless draw in Greece, but I rate them with class below their quality from the last season. The club got risriction from UEFA to buy players and took only free agents. Actually Panathinaikos was one of the most comfortable opponents, as they are very poor team this season.

 

On the other side we got the Russian champion Zenit, a team with experience and ambitions in the european tournaments. Also Spalleti announced that he doesnt think that Milan are the favourites in their group, which says enough about their confidence for sure. Also Zenit made 2 great transfers, speding 80 milions euros, taking Hulk and Witsel just a couple days ago.

 

I expect Zenit not to lose in their first CL game this season
