Tursunov vs Lopez

This should me interesting and tied match, much closed than odds show. That is why I am taking over games.

 

Feliciano Lopez was lucky to compete here at all. After Rafael Nadal has decided not to play, Lopez was his replecement. So, almost until last moment, Lopez did not know he will be in London, so we can't say now he is fully ready for grass.

 

On the other side Tursunov after injury seems is not able to return among top 20 or 30 players where he was in the past. Too much time has gone since his return on the court, but except few success, Tursunov mainly had weak results. In Nottingham less than two months ago he was in the finals but after that Tursunov lost four times in opening rounds. Still, his service is very powerful and on this surface he is not easy opponent.

 

Previous head to head with Lopez show 5 meetings (3-2 to Lopez). But what is interesting is fact that almost in every match there was at least one Tie-Break played, sometimes even two. Only once Tie-Break was not the case, but back then we could see three sets, so again it was over games. In any case, in their mutual meetings the lowest number of games played was 22.
