Nantes vs Vannes

Nantes is on their last phase of the preparation for the new season in Ligue 2. The first game for them in the league will be against Istres on 27.07.2012, so the team should be well fitted already for the start of the campaign.

 

Nantes made some really good transfers this summer. Lucas Deaux, who played 31 games for Reims last season is now with the team. The other good transfers are Madouni from Union Berlin (he has over 80 games in the Bundesliga in his career), Remi Riou from Toulouse (with 64 games in Ligue 1) and Cichero (who has 40 games for Venezuela). Nantes is playing really good in the friendlies so far, winning with 1:0 against Auxerre and Angers, with 5:1 against Le Poiré-sur-Vie and have one draw - 0:0 versus Ligue1 side Lorient. The team will be among the favorites for the top three places this season. The bad news however is that their young goalscorer Raspentino (30 games and 7 goals last season) got transferred to Marseille.

 

I don't have any info about Vannes, but the team plays in National (third French division) and I don't think they can cope with Nantes today. Also the season in the third league start a week after Ligue2, so their fitness should be worse than in Nantes.
