Jovanovski vs Daniilidou

Bojana Jovanovski is not having her best season so far, neither her results are good enough as most of people expected once she started showing her talent few years ago. Still, she is young enough (only 20 years old) and can improve anytime soon. As said, not the best, more than mediocre season she has till now. She didn’t have any good result at hard at the beginning of the season except quarter-finals of Copenhagen where she won over Niculescu and Voegele, losing to Martic in three sets. Larcher de Brito won against Jovanovski in three in Birmingham, while Jovana played qualifying rounds at Eastbourne and won over Lepchenko and Brianti, both in two sets, finally losing to Laura Robson in the final round.

Eleni Daniilidou, on the other side, is even in a worse form right now. Her tennis overall looking at whole seasons, is not at a professional level for years now, but she still shows her abilities from time to time. Her start of the season was terrible, just like ending of previous one, but she had good result in Kuala Lampur where she reached semi-finals. It was one of the Asian tournaments where not to many good players play, but still it was a good sign for the Greek. However, she continued with poor results after it, without any improvement. Clay court season went tragic for her as she has 1-7 win/loss result, winning the very first match played on clay court and losing all the others. She continued in the same form on grass, losing all three matches till now. Pliskova was better than her in Nothingham ITF tournament, while Foretz Gacon defeated her in Birmingham, finally ending with a loss to Roberta Vinci. All three matches were without a single set won. Furthermore, the Greek lost last twelve sets played.



This is more of a bet against Eleni Daniilidou, still Jovanovski has great talent and should be able to win over the Greek even if she didn’t have such a lousy record in last four months.
