Germany vs Greece

Probable lineups. Germany: Neuer, Boateng, Hummels, Badstuber, Lahm, Khedira, Schweinsteiger, Mueller, Ozil, Podolski, Gomez. Greece: Sifakis, Papastapoulos, Papadopoulos, Tsavellas, Katsouranis, Maniatis, Makos, Salpingidis, Gekas, Samaras.

 

Greece was lucky to reach the quarterfinal at Euro 2012. The football they played as usually was not impressive, based on defense and not so creative in attack. That’s why I don’t think they will score against Germany that played well in defense in the group stage. The question is how many goals will Germany score. Gomez will start in front again and he looks to be in a good form just like he was in during all the previous season. He is the player that can convert the chances very well. Germany finished all they matches with 10 shots and if they keep playing in the same style they should score more than once. Greece will miss some key players as Karagounis and Holebas are both suspended, Avraam Papadopoulos is out because of injury. This increases Germany’s chances even more and I expect them to beat the handicap.
