Ukraine vs France

The most crucial game where France should take three points against Ukraine.

 

Ukraine gave a very positive impression when they turned things around against Sweden (2-1). The ukranian legend Andriy Shevchenko hit the net twice, and lifted the whole nation with his wonderful performance. Sweden's defence were not able to coupe with the quick counter-attacks.

 

France was not able to beat a compact England in their first game which ended 1-1. The game was quite close, but France created a few other good chances. The closest chance came with the volley from Yohan Cabaye, which almost went in. It is a totally different opponent in this game, against Ukraine. The Ukrainian defence was unable to stop Zlatan Ibrahimovic who had a fantastic game. Against France it will be much more stars with good quick feet and technique. Benzema, Nasri, Ribery and Malouda are good examples and especially Ribery and Nasri showed much of their quick passing when they combined on the French goal. France is favourites in this group, but a draw against England was acceptable. Even if England is weakened ahead of the campaign, they still have very good players and were playing solid under the leadership of Roy Hodgson.

 

Even if Ukraine was surprisingly good in their first game, I expect France to dominate here. France must have three points here if they still want to win the group. France is a much better individual side, but they have got a very good team as well. All of their star-players can provide the little extra, and I believe that the Ukrainian defence will struggle much more against Les Blues. France should score at least two goals here, and I think this is a good pick to a very good odds.
