Argentina vs Bulgaria

Second round in group D of the World League. The games in this round will take place in Argentina.

 

The odds for the home team are dropping fast and there are some big reasons for that.

 

Once again big scandal in Bulgarian team. As he promised, Radoslav Stoichev qualified our national team for the Olympic games and quit after this qualification tournament, because Lazarov didn't resign as BFV chief. Maybe the worse news is that the star of the team and one of the best players in the world in the last years Matey Kaziyski said that he won't play anymore for the national team, at least until Lazarov and the rest are in front of out federation. There is another reason why I'll take an easy 3:0 win for Argentina here. Bulgaria will host the final of the World League this year and this is why the team does not need to push hard for the first place. For the games in Argentina this weekend the team will be without captain Vladimir Nikolov, Andrey Zhekov, our libero Teodor Salparov, Todor Aleksiev and Nikolay Nikolov. Along with Kaziyski, this is our regular first six, so Bulgaria will play with the reserves in this match.

 

In the first round of the World League that took place in Frankfurt, Bulgaria lost both games against Argentina and in both lost with 0:3 sets, something that will most probably happen here too.
