Holland played quite a disappointing in the first game as they have lot in a game they were clear favorites, at least on the paper, losing to Denmark 0:1. The Dutch team didn’t look very confident in the first game, especially not at the back. The Danes didn’t create a lot of goalscoring opportunities, because they were probably afraid to use more attacking players due to the fact that they took the early lead – but in any way, they could have made it if there was a reason for it. The Dutch national team coach announced that they will attack the Germans as they have no other option left, but they will have to be much more concentrated at the finishing touch if they are to get a positive result here.

Germany, on the other side, got a positive result at their debut game as they have won the Portuguese national team with a narrow 1:0. The game itself wasn’t very open minded and nice to watch, but as far as the Germans are concerned – they got what they wanted and that’s three points. Portuguese were playing quite defensively minded for the most of the game and this is the main reason why the game wasn’t very nice to watch. Once when the Germans have scored, the Portuguese had no other option but to open a bit and these were the moments when we got much better game to watch. In these 20 minutes when Portugal tried a bit harder, the German defense wasn’t looking that brilliant and for sure that they will struggle against teams who will be willing to put the pressure on them.



Open game is expected here, there is nothing left for the Dutch team but to attack in this game, having in mind that they have never been brilliant at the back, goals look like granted here.
