Poland is this years host with Ukraine and will definitely try to impress in Group A. Poland have a very good opportunity to advance after Russia who are big favourites here. Their biggest star is attacker Robert Lewandowski who must deliver if Poland should be able to advance. The polish striker had a phenomenal season in Borussia Dortmund this season with 22 goals in 34 matches, which made him the top 3 best goal scorers after Mario Gomez (26 goals) and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (29 goals).

 

He was often the man who scored the crucial goals in this season, and his contribution for Borussia Dortmund to win both Bundesliga and the DFB Pokal was huge. He scored a fantastic hat-trick in the DFB Pokal- final, and he scored totally 7 goals in 6 matches in this cup.

 

The good thing about Robert Lewandowski is that he is the biggest star in the polish squad. Therefore will he be able to play every match in the Euro 2012 and get the chance to score as much goals as possible. Their first game against Greece could be crucial in order to get the 2nd place, and they must get a good result against the Czech Republic as well to achieve this. I think that it is possible because of that Poland will be playing at home with their home fans on the stadium, and Robert Lewandowski will surely deliver for his own people.
