Russia vs Czech Republic

Russia and Czech Republic will end Day 1 of the opening day of Euro 2012. Like mentioned in the Poland – Greece preview, I doubt this group will have something special to offer in terms of football. On paper, this should be the derby of the group, but it’s really hard to trust these two sides, since the Czechz are in a downtrend compared to their golden days, while to Russians always fail to live up to the expectations.

 

Both teams are physical sides, and are using some fast players on the wings. Anyway, physical strength is their main force. Like in the first game of the group, I also see them trying to cancel each other and hit on the breaks. Most likely a personal mistake will decide the final outcome but, in the end, I believe both teams will be happy with a draw since they will meet easier opponents later.

 

Same like the first game, I doubt we will see a goals galore here, therefore another bet on under comes logically.
