Spain vs China

Last friendly game for Spain before the start of Euro 2012. The game will take play in Sevilla at "Estadio Olympico" with capacity of 57619 and most probably the stadium will be full of Spanish supporters, who will send their players to Poland. Even playing with 30 or 40% of their best, Spain can easily trash China with at least three goals here and I think that they will do it for the fans and for self-confidence before the first game against Italy on 10 June in Gdansk. If Del Bosque still have some little questions about the best eleven for the Euro 2012 matches, this is his last opportunity to make the best decision. Also he will finally be able to use the Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao players, after they were given a rest after the Copa del Rey final on the end of May. It is expected that all players from the two clubs like Xavi, Iniesta, Pique, Busquets, Martinez and Llorente will take place in this game. Especially Llorente will do everything he's got to impress Del Bosque and to get a place in the starting eleven ahead of Torres, who also showed great impovement both for Chelsea and Spain in the last couple of months. Spain won all three friendly games in 2012 so far, beating Venezuela with 5:0, Serbia with 2:0 and South Korea with 4:1 three days ago. The team is on a run of fifteen straight wins at home in the friendly matches, which is incredible performance.

 

China's last game was at the end of February against Jordan, when the team won with 3:1. Seven of the players, who plays for Guangzhou, played a game on Wednesday night for the AFC Champions League and maybe Antonio Camacho will use them tonight for maximum one half. The last time China played a friendly against a big team was back in 2010, when they lost against Uruguay with 0:4.

 

Some of the national teams prefer to play against smaller and weaker teams before the start of big competitions. The reason for that is to avoid injuries just before the start of the campaigns and to win with a big results to gain morale and self-confidence for the players. For example Yesterday Netherlands played against Northern Ireland and won with 6:0. Poland also played against Andorra and won with 4:0. France choose to play their last friendly on Tuesday against Estonia.

 

Before the start of the World Cup in 2010 Spain played against Poland and trashed them with 6:0. Also before the Confederations Cup in 2009 the team played against Azerbaijan and won with 6:0. Today I expect something similar and a victory for Spain with at least three goals difference against China.
