Clermont vs Laval

Clermont living the same task with the previous season when they arrived very close to promotion, but failing to the last matches. This season however, they came closer than ever but after March felt a lot, losing the early lead from the privileged first trio. To their last game they had a mediocre performance away to Guingamp where they lost with the score of 3-1. Maybe this season was unsuccessful, but they gained something very important, as many people stood by the team and improved their crowd. With the experience they gained this season, they will try not to repeat the same mistakes next year. Punished is the main midfielder Yacouba Sylla, main defender Jacques Salze, and main forward Romain Armand. Long-term missing the captain of the team Damien Perrinelle. The striker duo will be Jean-Francois Riviere and Mana Dembele, a great duo that can do lot of damage to any team.

 

Laval had a terrible game last week at home against Le Havre, where they lost with the score of 0-2. Reports saying that they were more like with a group of tourists, rather than a football team, while Le Havre had lot of passion and won easy. After winning two matches in late April and secured their division status, Laval is giving the impression that they are really out of any motivation and their minds are on holidays and next season. Their roster will change a lot during summer, as midfielder Sebastien Renouard, midfielder Fabrice Levrat and defender Nicolas Pallois leaving the team, all of them key players. Also, striker Jerome Lebouc asked to terminate his contract, so we see a team with some internal problems. For tonight, left midfielder Ludovic Gamboa, midfielder Anthony Goncalves, right back Gaetan Belaud, defender Kevin Perrot and substitute striker Lhadji Badiane are all out of the game for different reasons.

 

Clermont is really to a higher level than Laval, and although they have little motivation, they can win this one with Riviere and Dembele in front line, against a depleted Laval side.
