Sarpsborg vs Mjondalen

Sarpsborg coming from an away win against Strommen with the score of 0-2, where they showed their superiority and quality. Strommen could not resist and the final score of 0-2 is a mirror of what we saw from both teams on the pitch. Sarpsborg with tight defensive formation took control of the game, had the possession and played a good passing game, also they were not threatened from Strommen, and was a matter of time to score. They should be perfectly satisfied with their performances so far, as they show seriousness, discipline, willingness and commitment as their coach said. They have again a full roster, which is above the division standards, and the sole objective is to move high to first position on the league table in order to promote. The climate is excellent and the confidence of the players are to the top level. The only absence for Sarpsborg is young midfielder Tobias Henanger, who has not played any game yet, otherwise everyone is present and available.

 

With the need for first home win to their new stadium, and against a very weak defense of Hodd, Mjondalen won with the score of 2-1 without playing a good game. Hodd reacted only at second half where they reduced to 2-1, and threaten lot of times, but despite their missed opportunities, the score did not changed. Mjondalen coach admitted that before the match everyone was very stressful, but the players responded to the difficulties of the game, and they are happy for their first home success although they did not played well. Substitute keeper Larssen given to Notodden with loan deal, while striker Fredrik Gulsvik and defender Marius Boldt remaining out of action.
