Guadalajara vs Celta

Celta finally got their second place back from Valladolid and now with this good schedule until the end of the season I can’t see them missing the chance to win a direct promotion to Primera at the end of the campaign. The team won three of their last four games (3-1-0) and now the period between 17.03 and 21.04, when they won just one game is forgotten. Celta is the best away team in Segunda with nine wins in their nineteen games played so far (9-5-5), losing just two of the last ten matches as visitors (5-3-2). For today coach Paco Herrera will have to handle without Yoel (23/0) and Vila (15/0), while striker David Rodriguez (27/9) is questionable. The good news however is that De Lucas (33/9) is back after suspension and will be available.

 

Guadalajara is currently just two points ahead of the relegation zone, but they have incredibly tough schedule until the end of the season and it won’t be a surprise if in the end they are among the relegated teams, especially with the form Girona is showing recently. The team will play against Celta, Elche, Almeria, Barcelona B and Valladolid in their last five games and I can’t see how they are gonna win a single one of those games. Guadalajara won just a point from their last three games in Segunda (0-1-2) and had just two wins in their last ten games (2-2-6). At “Estadio Pedro Escartin” the team lost nine times so far in the campaign (7-2-9) and five times in the last six matches in front of their fans (1-0-5), so even the home performance don’t give any good signs for survival. The team won just three points in their seven home games against the top eight teams so far this season (1-0-6), after 3:1 against Cordoba.

 

In the first game between the two teams earlier this season Celta won comfortably at “Balaidos” with 2:0.
