Sunderland vs Man. United

 

It is the last round of this years Premier League and what a thriller it might be. One thing is clear: Manchester United will go for all three points.

 

Sunderland is in terrible form with only 0-4-2 and 3-8 on goal difference in their past six games. They are in 11th place at the table with 45:45 on total goal difference and have nothing to play for. They have got quite a few injuries with Marcos Angeleri, Titus Bramble (def), Wes Brown (def), Sebastian Larsson (mid) and Kieran Richardson (mid) missing the match during injuries. John O'Shea (def) and Connor Wickham (striker) are doubtful.

 

Everything will be decided today and three points is the only thing that counts today for Sir Alex Ferguson. His players surley knows what to do in this match, and I expect Manchester United to explode from the second the referee blows his whistle. After giving away 2 points against Everton (4-4) and loosing the Manchester derby, Manchester United took a 2-0 win against Swansea. United should have scored more goals after leading 2-0 at half-time, but they did not manage to find the net in the second half, despite all their chances.

 

Nemanja Vidic (def), Anderson (mid) and Darren Fletcher (mid) have been out for a long time and are still missing. Johnny Evans (def) and Cris Smalling (def) are also missing this match. Rio Ferdinand (def) is fit and it is likely that he will start together with Phil Jones (def). Danny Welbeck (striker) and Paul Pogba (mid) are missing. Michael Owen (striker) is doubtful.

 

Even if the title race will be decided on Etihad Stadium today, Manchester United must focus on what they can do themselves in order to claim their 20th title. The only answer to that is to score as many goals as they can in 90 minutes and take the victory at Stadium Of Light. It will not be any walkover when facing Martin O'Neals Sunderland, so they must be 110% focused. I think that Manchester United are surley going for all three points today.
