Dortmund vs Bayern Munich

Big Final of German Cup awaits us this evening in Berlin. No doubt that by far two best teams in Germany will play this final, Winners of Bundesliga this season from Dortmund and Champions league finalist and second placed team in Bundesliga Bayern Munich.



Borussia Dortmund, as said, finished the season as the league winners and it’s a success none hoped for at the beginning of the season. However, they were playing better and better and were improving their game step by step and there was no doubt that they left the best impression of their game in whole league. They have also finished the season in style, with six wins in a row, including win over their tonight’s rivals by narrow 1:0 at home. Their last two matches in Bundesliga were very impressive as they won over K’lautern away from home 5:2 and against Freiburg 4:0 at home. So many goals in opponents net was something that they demonstrated many times this season. This game will represent a great challenge for the whole team, as they have a unique chance to get a first double in the history of Dortmund. They have no major injury worries as only Patrick Owomoyela (right defender) is out, but he wasn’t their standard XI material anyway.



Although Bayern Munich didn’t win Bundesliga this season, they have more than plenty of reasons to be happy with the season. Firstly, they still have a chance to win this domestic competition against their biggest rivals this season and second, they entered Champions League final they were dreaming of this season. Dreaming of it because it will be played in Munich and it’s a perfect chance for them to lift the trophy once again. Team from Munich mixed a little bit in their last championship game over Koln, as they won away from home with a 4:1 result, leaving Koln out of Bundesliga next season. No fresh injury worries for them either, with only Daniel van Buyten being out for this clash.



Team from Dortmund have won last four matches against Bayern, both games in season 2010/11 and in this, 2011/12 season. There is no reason for them to be outsiders in this game and with Bayern awaiting such a important game seven days later, taking Dortmund seems reasonable choice here, at least under current odds.
