I don't like too much recent form of Fernando Verdasco, but still he is former Top 10 player, two years ago he was one of best players of the world, clay-court is his favourite surface and the most important seems he slowly returns to best shape. In this season Verdasco already had success on clay. It was in Acapulco where he was in final and before defeat from Ferrer he won all matches in straight sets. Until now Verdasco is 10-4 on clay in 2012. In Monte Carlo he was unlucky in first set of third round match against Tsonga, here in Barcelona two easy wins so far for him. All this IMO should be enough for win over Kei Nishikori whose results were nothing special after January and QF in Australian Open. On clay court Nishikori is 7-3 in 2012.
