Arsenal vs Chelsea

Arsenal is coming into this derby game after a very poor performance last Monday when they lost to Wigan Athletics 1:2 at home. This as their first defeat at home since end of January when they lost to league rivals from Manchester United. They are still, even with this defeat at home, at quite safe third position with five points more than Tottenham and Newcastle. This game comes in good time for them, as they will play against team that have two very important matches in between. It’s a perfect chance to win here, get three more points and almost secure their Champions League position for next season. Arsene Wenger has no need to rest players and have no fresh injury worries in front of this game.im



Chelsea, on the other hand, is coming from a great semi-final win in Champions League over Barcelona 1:0 and will probably be at Nou Camp in their heads already in this game. They are having the second leg game just four days after this match and will probably rotate the squad a bit for this clash. They are currently at sixth position with two points less than Tottenham and Newcastle, still their top priority at this moment is the second leg against Barcelona as they have more then positive result from the first leg earned three days ago in a narrow 1:0 win. Drogba, Terry and Lampard are maybe the three most important players of Chelsea and are all three set to be rested for this clash.



Interesting and very open game is expected here, Arsenal have no other option but to make as good as possible results in Premier League and please their fans. Chelsea is expected to rotate a few players and will probably play a bit more relaxed this one – under these circumstances goals are more than expected.
