Tottenham vs Chelsea

The last time these two teams met, it was a bore 0-0. I believe its hard to pick a winner here, it will take a silly mistake or a wonder goal to decide this one.

 

For the spurs, they are coming off a surprise loss to Norwich. This is a derby and it’s obvious they want to get through, but I’m not sure there is enough substance behind the attitude. William Gallas will likely play and I smell an error or two from the veteran.

 

Chelsea have been in good form and have responded well to the new coach. No ivanovic, so there will be a reshuffle in the backline. Chelsea do have a champions league tie on the horizon and it will be interesting to see who they field in this game. In my opinion, if Mata plays, Chelsea win.

 

I believe the Chelsea coach will emphasize how important qualification is for momentum into the Barcelona game, hence will treat this game extremely seriously.

 

I’m expecting a cagey affair, however someone has to go through.

 

I’ve leant Chelsea’s way because of their previous success in this competition and their more experienced in elimination matches. I believe the spurs won’t be that much tougher than Benifica.
