Stalybridge Celtic vs Guiseley

Stalybridge took a bold step in re-structuring their club at the start of the season.

 

They decided to put faith in quality youth players rather than more expensive experienced players and it seemed to pay off at the start of the season as they dominated the early stages.

 

but they have lost their momentum in the second half of the season, slipping outside the play-off places and it is this part of the season you really need the experience which they are lacking.

 

Guiseley have been banging on the door for promotion a few seasons running now and are in a head to head battle with Hyde United for automatic promotion.

 

With only 3 games left the gap is just 2 points and any slip up from either team will allow the other to get top spot.

 

So i expect Guiseley to win this game, the top 2 sides are on another level at the moment and Stalybridge look a shadow of their former selves, losing twice recently and look set to struggle for the rest of the season.
