Yesterday Bojana Jovanovski finally managed to win first round match after many consecutive defeats in the previous tournamnets. She was better from Stefanie Voegele in match where bookies were giving her weak chances. And this could be now new start for young Serbian girl. Jovanovski really does not deserve to be so low on WTA standings, after all not so long ago she was almost in top 50. Seems that she is now get back in good shape so this second round against Monica Niculescu should be interesting.

 

The Romanian girl has much better ranking, but she was also in poor form lately. Except good result early in the season in Doha (QF), Niculescu was defeated every time in first round in next tournaments, Dubai, Indian Wells, Miami.

 

There was one head to head so far. It was in Miami in previous season where Niculescu won in two sets but with over games.
