Siroki vs Union Olimpija

Siroki failed in taking advantage of their nervous hosts in Podgorica at saturday (@Buducnost) and the things are much clearer now. Siroki is out of race for F4, but 5th spot will take them to the Eurocup next year, and that is a chance they would not want to miss. At Buducnost, the team showed a toughness and will power when they came back from -14 in the 2nd half, but concentration from the free throw line just was not there (9/16 in 2nd half) and that made a difference in this low scoring encounter (68-61 Buducnost W). I do not believe this loss will change anything dramatically about the hosts, they know how good they are, and they really should not feel bad about themselves in front of this one.

 

Union Olimpija is coming from a worst 40 minutes of basketball I have seen in a long time. Saturday’s loss vs Cibona was such an awful performance from both teams that Cibona’ coach Repesa, a coach of the winning team, apologized to the fans of both clubs that came to see it. I will not going to analyze all the details here cause it would be pointless, I will just add that this team looks completely uncreative and with a lack of confidence. Coach Filipovski is an experienced expert despite his youth, but his guidance, timing and rotation were strange to say at least. I see a better team, a team with a strong motivation and a great help from home crowd as 9-10 points favorite and this line represents a value from where I stand.
