Blackpool vs Portsmouth

Televised game on sky and a great chance for Blackpool to get seriously involved in the automatic promotion race against an understrengh and unmotivated Pompey side who havent been paid since January. They are trying hard and not playing too badly but who you trust the players to put 100% effort in when their wages aint being paid? i dont think so.

 

Blackpool are in decent nick at the minute, unbeaten in their last 8 games and form at home is good as well, winning 9 and only losing 2 coming against a team who has only won 2 away games all season and head to the seaside missing top scorers Norris and Varney and possibly big defender Ben Haim who will have a late fitness check as will strikers Benjani and Kitson...if those 2 are out as well Pompey could be pretty toothless in attack unlike Blackpool who have a host of attacking talent fit for the match, in fact manager Holloway has a choice of 5 strikers including LuaLua, Bednar, Dicko and the vastly experienced Kev Phillips.

 

With Barry Ferguson anchoring midfield leaving the creative lads Matty Phillips and TayloR-Fletcher to provide the ammo for the strikers i can only see this game going one way and thats a Blackpool victory against a team with the threat of administration looming large over them.
