Charleroi vs Efes Pilsen

After beating Partizan. the position of Turkish team improved a lot, and a win over the bottom team in the group can put them through the group. They have three victories till now, and with this system of Euroleague, the team with four wins at first level are almost certain at top 16 phase. Away team will try to get back from the defeat against Charleroi few weeks ago at home court, which is still the only victory for the Belgian team in Euroleague. The situation is different now. Two main Efes players, Vujacic and Ilaysova, probably will play only their last game for Efes, because NBA begins next month. Coach Ufuk will try to get advantage of their play, because Efes will be a totally different team without them soon. Also, while mental moment along with motivation in Charleroi were on high level in Turkey when beating tonights rival, their situation is much weaker now. Altough they have few good matches, they have no win yet. Their chances to qualify are thin now. Concerning their experience in roster along with relatively long Euroleague season (playing qualification), they can be tired for the bigger suprize the following game.

 

The main advantage for Efes is that they are much better under the basket. With strong center ( Ilyasova, Barac, Batista, Savanovic) where all of them are above 2.07cm tall, and with great movement ability, they can be too much for home team, while Beghun and Ridick, are not enough for facing Efes quality. Charleroi front line is hard to repeat the same game they had at Istanbul, where they had high percentage of three pointers, and Turkey defence will probably consecrate on them.
