CSKA Moscow vs Lille

CSKA Moscow enters this match with only one thing in mind – to win today. They are on the second position with five points, equal to Turkish side Trabzonspor with better goal difference only and three points ahead of tonight’s opponent. In first game in Lille, CSKA managed to get 2:2 draw, although they were 2:0 down, at home in Moscow, they won against Trabzonspor 3:0, meanwhile they got 0:0 in Turkey. Having that in mind, it’s clear that CSKA will have to give everything in order to get a victory here, as they still have to play on the road against Inter and they can’t rely on points there. Hosts had quite though period as they faced way too many injury problems which are starting to be the past now: Keisuke Honda and Sekou Oliseh retured to first-team on Friday in domestic league, while Alexei Berezutsky having trained fully yesterday. However, Zoran Tosic and Mark Gonzalez, both wingers are still injured, just like keeper Igor Akinfeev and forward Tomas Necid who are on a long-term injury list.

 

Lille, on the other side, is on fourth position and with very small chances to get 2nd position and continue in Champions League. However, they still can hope and try to reach it, or at least to get third position and continue their Europe adventure in Europa League. Lille biggest problem in front of this game is that both of their training sessions were postponed/not held due to fog, meaning that they will face up stadium and artificial pitch for the first time when they play the game. Lille faced up big problems in last four matches as they scored only two goals and have no win. No injury worries for guests.

 

Though game expected here, CSKA Moscow will have to win here and they already showed that they are very unconvinient opponent for French side in first game. Weather conditions will be on the side of the hosts comparing to French who won’t see stadium and it’s conditions until the start of the game. Odds are too good to be missed.
