Bilbao vs Osasuna

Basque Country well known big derby.

 

Bilbao finally made their first win to the league, well deserved result, after beating Real Sociedad away with the score of 1-2. They were the better team during the first half, where they scored at 34th minute, while at second half they have been equalized with a shot from the kick off spot. After the equalizer they risked a lot playing very open, and finally scored and took an impressive win to against a difficult team to beat. Good news for Bilbao, as Ander Herrera is coming back to the main squad after injury. They are now back at home to face Osasuna, with the best available squad and the morale at high levels after their first win.

 

Osasuna did not had a good game at home against Mallorca, and took a draw with the result of 2-2, although Mallorca played with ten men from 74th minute. They have been found losing early to the game with 0-1, managed later to come back and score two goals, but they received the equalizer at 80th minute. For one more game their defense showed signs of dismember to a lot of actions during the game, and this can be surely a big problem against strong attack of Bilbao. Defenders Roversio, Sergio Fernandez and Ruben Gonzalez are all back to the squad after injuries.

 

At the moment Bilbao has the upper hand, the confidence and the morale needed to take the derby at their own ground. Osasuna maybe is not so hard to beat if you look to their defensive line. If Bilbao will play with the passion they showed away to Real Sociedad, Osasuna will have no hopes in San Mames… a place where PSG and Villareal had very difficult times already for Europa League.
